Microsoft is starting to annoy me
Is it just me, or does Microsoft really like to make things a whole lot more complicated for themselves? A new wave of Windows Live products are being launched this week, and I really don’t see the point.
Many of their Windows Live products overlap and share exactly the same purpose as existing Windows applications, and yet, they have no plans to close either one, or merge these products together. This makes it extremely frustrating for consumers like me. Examples include Windows Movie Maker and Windows Live Movie maker; Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Hotmail; Windows Calendar and Windows Live Calendar; Windows Photo Gallery and Windows Live Photo Gallery; and the ambiguous Windows Live portal and MSN. How would you know whether to use Windows Movie Maker or Windows Live Movie Maker? Thank god I ditched Windows together with my Windows Live Account (which by the way, also contradicts with their .NET Passport service) ages ago. |
